Okay, I decided to start a blog and write about the things I love (with the occasional things i don’t love so much). I think that you really can’t go wrong writing about love, right? So here are a few to start—in no particular order and most definitely not all of them!
I love… writing in parentheses, the smell of fresh basil, my husband singing spontaneous songs to me, going to the movies by myself, singing in the shower, San Francisco, Ruthie’s new freckles on her nose and cheeks, Blue Bottle coffee (the whole cup), naps, a friend who loves you no matter how much you screw up, anything with butter on it, making something out of nothing, a good massage, the smell of orange blossoms, taking photos, spring in San Diego, castles, a really good IPA, my mother’s creativity, knowing the Lord and His unconditional love, laughing and crying at the same time (I think it is healthy), El Cilantro (best mexican food in SD), my dad’s mustache smile, memories of the good times, everything Jane Austen ever wrote, forgiveness, Ruthie’s sweet little voice, reading a good book very slowly and enjoying each moment, knowing that there is such a thing as unending joy in all of us- we just have to choose it, side burns, George Winston, fall, re-arranging the furniture until it is the perfect fit, drawing with charcoal, receiving and sending letters-real letters (pen, paper, handwriting, stamp, etc), RAIN lots and lots of rain, etc.
