Re-purposing
Ok, I love to re-purpose stuff. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me when I make something out of something that I did want or use anymore. I made this “Guardian Angel” for Miss Ruth out of her old baby clothes and baby blanket. The legs are simply just PJ’s cut off (super simple stuff). I got the pattern from a book call “Softies only a Mother could...

My little girl
It is amazing to me just how much Ruth is growing. When you spend every day with someone you don’t see how much they change. I am currently embarking on a big project, cleaning up my iPhoto library and came across this picture of her and it just melted my heart. I love love love (lots of love) this lil one. She is the world to me.

The hard moments
You know sometimes I look at the things I have posted and I think to myself, “Wow I wish I had that life!” I know this may sound strange since I technically did post these beautiful pictures but the reality is I only post the good ones. So, this year I decided to do it up on St. Patty’s and Ruth and...

Lady Ruth's Royal Tea Party
My wonderful daughter Ruth Anne Elizabeth turned 4 years old this month. I can’t believe how old she is getting. It is a constant reminder to take every moment and enjoy it. I love this girl more than I could ever convey. She is everything to me. Anyways, we decided this year it would be fun to do a tea party with a few of her friends. I had so much putting this together. Here are...

Baking some good shhhtuff!!!
After having gestational diabetes with both children, I learned to cook some low carb and low/no sugar foods. I know when it comes to baking you really need to be precise. I am never good about following directions so baking is sometimes hard for me. I am always trying to make substitutions for sugar and have failed many times. But alas, here is a recipe that i did multiple substitutions and it...
Teething and breastfeeding
So Dillon cut his first tooth in this week. I am so glad it finally popped through, the poor guy was in pain. But alas, breastfeeding him now is a challenge because the little guy likes to bite down. Oh the joy of being a mother!
