Rocking out with Junip for date night.

Last night my handsome bearded husband and I went to see live music for the first time in years.  When we were young (giggle) we use to see live shows all the time and it was one of our favorite things to do. Josh is always seeking out new music and I love this about him. So, last night we saw Junip at the Independent.   First of all this was a great venue, we will be coming back to watch more great musicians. Second, Junip was seriously one of the best live shows I have ever seen! So here are a few pics courtesy of Josh Brew-haha.  And a link to you tube so you can here them.

This is one of my favorite songs right now.  It is by Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny.  On the weekends when I have a little “mommy alone time”, I will put this on my ipod and walk around the city.  It is the best sound track for this kind of adventure.  I love looking into peoples eyes as I walk and smiling as much as I can.  There is nothing better than seeing someone light up with just a smile.   I don’t know if it is possible to really change someone’s day with a smile but I sure am going to try.
